It occurred to me last week that I managed to get engaged, have 2 bridal showers and a wedding without ever buying a bridal magazine or wedding planning book. Not to say I didn't look, but I couldn't find any books that had information I could use for my Japanese destination wedding. The Knot had info on destination weddings, but nothing that was useful to me. I don't think they even covered the legalities of marrying in Japan. I think they only mentioned incorporating Japanese traditions into a wedding in the US and even that information wasn't correct.

I'm very fortunate to have a husband who was willing to go along with a Shinto wedding and parents who agreed to let me plan a destination wedding.
