I was slowing trudging my way up from C level to I level in my parking garage when I heard someone running up the stairs behind me. I stepped aside so the person could pass me. I reached the ground floor, exited the building, walked across the street to my building, passed security, and got on the elevator only to see the guy who ran past me in the stairwell jump into the elevator right behind me.

"How did you get here so fast?" he asked.

"How did you get here so slowly?" I wondered.

After a short discussion, I told the man how to take the stairs to the ground floor courier entrance rather than taking the stairs to a level where there is an elevator to the lobby (which requires going through security and then changing elevators).

I may be pregnant and slow, but it's still faster to just walk all the way up the stairs than it is to take 2 elevators and go through security with an x-ray machine just to get to the first floor of the parking garage building.
