Back in the day when everyone wanted to Save Tibet I wondered why no one wanted to Save Hawaii.

Hawaii had a monarchy and the people loved Queen Liliʻuokalani. But under pressure from the U.S. government she abdicated her throne rather than let any Hawaiian blood spill for her. Ever since then there has always been a contingent of hard core Hawaiian monarchy supporters, but we almost never hear about them here on the mainland. At least I hadn't hear about them until today.
